Black Widow Spiders

Almost every day, my husband goes outside in the evening and kills a black widow spider. If he skips a week, he can go out the next day and kill 5 or 6. The webs are very different from other spider webs, so he is constantly watching for that type of web, and then he will hunt for the spider come dusk. Fortunately, they are shy spiders, and not aggressive, so unless you touch it, it isn't likely to bite you, but that does make them harder to spray for because the spray has to get on them directly for it to have any effect. Our children know that these spiders are more poisonous than other spiders, and to call dad if they see one.
